Don't Poem by Tapiwanaishe Pamacheche

Don't

Don't race with me I know the colour of darkness,
Awaken the dawn within me
Unravel the sunset gold within me
That giant faints and fades on the facade.
Don't race with me for I know the tortoise is slow and knows the road.
Don't race with me,
Don't say it again,
Don't mention it again,
Don't suspend on me
Don't manipulate me again
Don't change the course of history
Don't rewrite my prints
Don't disarm my inner weapon
Don't fight me again
Let me live through the thought of consequences
A constant fear of I
Geared through the atom of past.
Let me stride through the darkness and flood on the light flood
A flare of my skin is magnifico
A spell of my pigment
