So much is part of the ephemeral news cycle and suffering is like so much else in our teeming world of limited resources a commodity and there never was something for nothing. A very poignant piece deftly crafted.

There is an inspiring message in this poem. How beautifully you have summed up the attitude that has badly stricken the world. Yes they are actually not donors but exhibitionists! ! ! A great attempt! ! ! i loved it.

Interesting take on greed and profanity.

The poem beautifully brings home the fact that so called donners are more worried/interest about/in their own publicity rather than helping the needy ones. Now a days old indian proverb ' Neki kar darya mein daal' (do good and forget) does not find any takers. How sad? .

Nice poem showing a reality which is unreliable. I saw another scene where the camera people were more interested in questioning an accident victim instead of helping. Thank you for this sequel.

Thanks Jasmeen for your visit, comment & question...yes, in general writing, ma'am is written with d ellided in this way, but the word here is used to indicate sound rather than accurate way how it should be spelt, there are examples which can be found in Hemingway, and George Eliot who use spellings rather than grammar to indicate class, accent and dialect. Your visit is appreciated.

Sarcasm depicted in a scene so realistically, well-done Shahzia. The title with a specific mark is ironical. (The word 'mam' confused me, shouldn't it be 'ma'am?)
