Don't burn your fingers
with hate and an anger
it will take you nowhere
but down you with tears

what is there to rejoice?
and enjoy with promises
have you any choice?
if you can't raise voice!

do you the world with no population?
do you want the only territory with no human relation?
do you want to witness poverty and misery?
if so, go ahead with your latest weaponry

Nobody has won the war?
the world had to witness cries later
innocent's death and orphan children
hell all over and no heaven

what if you gain an entire world!
inherit the poverty and sufferings untold
do we aim such a world for the future generation?
if not, then strengthen the world with peace foundation

Had I known the catastrophic consequences?
Lord Ashoka thought at once,
He renounced the war and took to sainthood
spread the non-violence in the neighbourhood

ultimately, it was a win for peace
many rulers renounced violence and opted life at an ease
modern wars are not only unimaginable
but forecasts world of a different struggle
