alongside, round, under the bowsprit,

This is a display of biophilia on their part, an overture of friendship across species boundaries. They are sharing their capacity for excitement and joy, as if to say, " We know happiness, and we believe you know it too." I love this poem's sculpting of nature's motifs.

If one can understand and interpret every move and action of these intelligent creatures, intentions, aims and objectives behind them won't have anything to do with jealousy, hatred, greed etc., I am sure. Is that the message they are trying to pass on to humans? I wonder. Very insightfully crafted and presented poem, indeed. Congrats on your achievement. X

Congrats for the honours POTD for this fine literary work. Dolphins were brought to life. Profound ending: In the thousands of years to come humans will not them allow lead evolution's claimed harness up. No fear therefore to become our dauphins.

Great descriptive write. The movement of dolphins is free n uninhibited. They are happy in their bubbling liquid world. A skillful use of vocabulary. The rhythm is perfect. The reader is riveted n captivated.

Take into notice here, dear Nosheen, that the vocabulary is not mine but Michle Leigh Fermor's found in a prose text of his.I do advise you to come in touch with his great works on literature.A friend of mine Rudi Fisher was a friend of his and helped him in his works....Thank you so much.

Your poem captured my attention and gave me pause. I held my breath like the dolphins. The ending is what pulled it together for me. The prose that you turned into poetry worked well. An interesting experiment on your part. Barry has inspired me too. Well done Dimitrios!

You are keen to give credit to the prose author but you sensed the poetry within the prose and created in verse a work of tremendous vitality and rhythmic energy. The scientist John Lily called dolphins HUMANS OF THE SEA. Their curiosity about us parallels ours for them. I once touched the back of a dolphin: it was the softest thing I've ever touched but I could feel its tensile energy beneath that skin. In the film version of ZORBA THE GREEK the outsider isn't impressed with a dolphin swimming near their ship, Zorba cries in exasperation, Boss, it's a dolphin! What man isn't happy to see a dolphin? Agreed. I spent afternoons on beaches in Florida during a visit and when the kids cried out DOLPHIN! We stirred from our mental drowse and watched in wonder.

Ee, Daniel dear, it was not so difficult to tranform the prose into verses. The four last verses I hoped to give a beautiful ending.Do they? I owe the idea of the last last verse to Barry Middleton.I did not know[or remomber ]the word dauphin which fitted here nicely.

abstractions of speed, energy, power, leaping out, plunging water into spiralling and vanishing, This is one of the most lively poems I have ever read! The movement of the dolphins is caught in photographic precision and on reading this poem, I can visualize a shoal of dolphins swimming and splurging over the blue foamy waters in rhythmic grace and grandeur! Excellent! A 10
