Doctor Polkaski Poem by michael Smajda

Doctor Polkaski

Once, when I was lonely
And I was feeling blue,
And had little self-worth,
Confused what next to do,
I saw a famed doctor
Known for curing such ills,
And he did so without
His prescribing me pills.

Instead, what this doc did
Was switch turntable on,
Play only polka tunes,
Soon my problems were gone.
Even, now, to this day
I'm as happy as can be
Which I owe and give thanks
To Doctor Polkaski.
