Do you ever feel
The control you need
Is the only way
To live.

Do you ever feel
A tightness in your chest
When you drive past
The tree chosen for 'what if'

Do you ever feel
An unbeatable darkness
Feeding upon
All light possible

Do you ever feel
So devastatingly lonely
In a room
Full of people

Do you ever feel
The need for validation
Off the people
Who took it all away

Do you ever feel
So broken inside
You are scared
To get cut picking it up

Do you ever feel
People need to concentrate
On those
They can save

Do you ever feel
It's to late
To change
The person you have become
