Do They Still Ring, Christmas Night? Poem by james watkin

Do They Still Ring, Christmas Night?

Happiest of bells
Above hamlets rung
A wintry midnight, for to echo
A joyous news sung.

From the height of heights
Shook out, long ago
Waves of peace, for whose glory, framed
Angel's godly show.

Whilst for a throned birth
King of kings, cradling
Littlest of towns honour-enwreathed was.
Lowliest, strawed in.
