What a great comment made below: that this poem will make disbelievers reconsider their stance, and persuade them they do have a soul. But the soul in this case is not that miniature version of the egoistic ME most people think it is. Rather this is a dispersal after death of that ego-soul as its spiritual essence becomes part of everything that exists. What generosity! What fulfillment! It's what Robinson Jeffers called an ENSKYMENT.
