Divorce Poem by Vasile Serban

Divorce

The light of my heart has been forever extinguished
By the darkness of your words that made me
Hate your love intensely and fiercely, like
A poor sick person hates their pain.

The beautiful moments that were, lie petrified
In the gray wave of sand created by your betrayals.
My once happy heart is shivering now
Like a sparrow in the spray of raindrops.

I often woke up begging with my gaze
For the happiness that delayed its return,
And from the frustration and doubts of marriage,
I refused to fight alone any longer.

The tears of separation refused to exist.
The eyes, weeping during our relationship,
Sparkle happily, showing their clarity,
And my sad face regained its freshness once more.
