Some call it Muse, some hunch, some inspiration, or as you say divinities, but they bring in great messages, of art, poetry, new inventions, ideas, and the like. Great stuff dear poet.

All of our poetry, music, songs and all forms of art are already out there in the universe. Our job is to welcome these " divinities" and to spread their message to the world. Another divine poem, M.J.!

Wow! Thank you, Richard. You remind me of 'spreading the net.' Is the writer the fisher of art? Thank you again.

I like your very novel and original take on inspiration! It sounds like it is about inspiration making a call on Poe or Stephen King! Or maybe I feel darkness because it is 2: 15 in the morning and the wind is howling and the house is creaking. I give this a 10 and a spot on my fav list cuz it's a jewel of a poem

Thank you so much, Susan. Yes, I was thinking of Lenore when I first drafted a version of this some time ago. Inspiration is both dark and 'light'....I tried to make the dark shine through.

They do not stop as they ring the doorbell. The beauty of inspiration they feel. This poem is very interesting and amazingly penned. They should get back the voice and visit.10
