That is so true! We must be grateful for what we are given but also not puffed by it. You know the trap: Hmm, I think these latest poems I wrote are good as Yeats... perhaps better than Yeats. Who needs Yeats when they have me! ! ! That isn't joy of discovering; it's sickness of the ego. You have it right, Sarah, we accept what comes from our pens because it is blessed by the Muse or whatever is the source of our creativity.
