Discarded Melody Poem by michael Smajda

Discarded Melody

If I could put all of my verses
Into just one lyrical song,
And go about, like a troubadour,
I could sing, God knows, for how long?

But should I find as I am globe touring,
I am not enlightening the minds of anyone,
And none of the poetic words are resonating,
Assuredly, the lyrics never, again, will be sung.
