Disappointment Poem by William Deutscher

Disappointment

The weekly grind
mined
without success,
brings less
rather than more.
Knock on any door,
try to sell.
Ring her bell
wander off
waxing wroth
in the garden.
Something hardens
and is gone,
limp, drawn.
