I loved the toe dipped in water imagery in this poet, an old image refreshed into dip your toe into poetry's waters. I also loved the word purloined, I purchased an old copy of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe, while living and working in Istanbul Turkey back in 1988 to 1991. The 13th short story in the volume, just before the poems is " The Purloined Letter" . I have a soft spot for the word 'purloined' as I immediately connect with Edgar.
