Did I meet a man with a heart as big
That has room enough for my follies?

Did I see a deed that is sealed with a touch of hope
After sacrifice is committed?

Did I hear a song that leaves me sad
When I am about to celebrate?

There is a man in every stride
And another in retreat.
There is a child in every dream
That is about to bloom and blush.

Who knows that God is in me,
And my children?
He is about to step
On my shoes to leave a legacy behind.
