Diamonds And Gold Poem by vince gullaci

Diamonds And Gold

No one sought me out
to say goodbye
I had ceased to exist
in their eyes
I wasn't a diamond
and my heart wasn't gold
I was more trouble
than I was worth
to the paupers grave
I was destined to
from birth.

I was more trouble
than I was worth
to the paupers grave
