Ahhh....great metaphoric meditation, Tom. Your vision of self-actualization through self-discovery as the formation of diamond is brilliant, if I may extend your metaphor to this sentence. :) Diamonds are ultimately precious, a pinnacle of geologic beauty and form, and one of the hardest substances naturally occurring. To see the product of self-discovery as such an element is to reinforce an oft-overlooked but extremely valuable insight, like a diamond buried in the earth. Something to find and treasure. I love the vivid applications of the metaphor; as always stunningly executed, Tom. Bravo! :) S
I think we are seekers after the diamonds buried in our sub-conscious. To find a form of words durable and many faceted that radiates our intent. You are very perceptive and I thank you for your comments, Seamus.
