Diamond Of A Sky Poem by Eva Mae Witt

Diamond Of A Sky

Diamond Of A Sky

In my slumberland of hope, wishing and hence to dream
Of all the cosmic space-time's winding soul is curving sweep
Up so high beyond where stellar Furies set all agleam
The reality of the velvet thrall of endless forces deep

Where all here among a knowledge of a billion suns
Alas, solo Klieg cued an enormous nascent spark
Thus, all was ensuring a magnanimous life o'er eon runs
Forever all treading paths of vast torpid dark

Lies so fully adorned in crystal it is bequest
Till all of the fusions fire did finally else abate
Bejewelled then, this cosmic orb compressed
This is a field of glistening diamonds lie and wait

Yet, yee need not perish to search the vast endless skies
Those bejewelled diamonds sparkle here in your lovely eyes.
