Shabnam

shabnam ko dekho subah subah,
halla do zarah heeray jaisay un k cHotay sar ko,
chamkatay, jhalaktay chaltay hain vo
chup chaap apnay cHotay se bistray pe.

ghaas ko dekho! patta patta chamak raha hai
mazboot ho raheeN hain un ki jaDaiN;
shabnam ki tarah, chalo hum bikhaar daiN
pyaar k heeray raastay pe.

Dewdrops

Watch the dewdrops in the morning,
Shake their little diamond heads,
Sparkling, flashing, ever moving,
From their silent little beds.

See the grass! Each blade is brightened,
Roots are strengthened by their stay;
Like the dewdrops, let us scatter
Gems of love along the way.
