O Devi Sarasvati! Goddess of learning!
The gentle movements of your fingers,
Playing the divine Veena!
And the powerful hands with manuscript,
Amanuensis of profound wisdom!

Let my ears hear the melodious music
Of your divine Veena! O Devi!
Let this sweet music,
Played by your tender fingers
Reverberate through all my senses!

Let the mellifluous sound of music
Flow through the layers of my heart,
May the strings of my heart
Be in resonance,
With your divine music!

Let me listen to your euphonious music
Each day, each hour,
Each moment of my life!
Let the fragrance of your music
Permeate through the realms of my mind!

Let my mind become still
Bathed in the nectar
Of your honey filled music!
The mind of a white swan
So serene, so calm!

Let my heart sing the song of love,
The song of compassion,
The song of freedom,
The song of peace
The song of the spirit!

Listening to your enchanting music,
Let my feet dance with joyous abandon,
The dance of accurate rhythmic beats,
The dance of swaying gaits,
