Detective Story Poem by William Deutscher

Detective Story

Rating: 3.0

Butler's tidying up the study,
Moonlight's on the wall.
Gardener's digging out back,
Clock ticks down the hall.

Detective has his nightcap,
Mulling all the clues.
French maid's bending over,
Ready to shout 'J'accuse! '

Gather all the suspects,
Release your findings now.
Issue a statement:
Case unsolved anyhow.

The body's on the floor,
Mystery behind closed doors.
