Detachment Poem by DASHARATH NAIK

Detachment

excavating my dreams from grave
what I found is the feeble frame
with rotten flesh smelling awfully
but the bones keeping intact
against all odds of time.

all hopes gravely shattered now
my iron will fails to let me sit
for me absolutely restless
with commotion in mind
that thoroughly trembles me.

the butterflies with radiant hues
all deserted but stored in memory
the dragon flies I once ran after
creep never to boost me but
find myself lost in their rhyme.

my boats sailed down the streams
in the capsized forms sneer at me
the colourful kites without colours
point out my foolies unlimited
that I never committed in mine.

marbles stored in my school box
start dancing in a magical tune
stuff next to my heart all perished
yet shining their unnoticed glitter
letting me know my age prime.
