Destinies Poem by Rodney Dufault

Destinies

All I want is a little solidarity,
so I skip therapy voluntarily,
more happy with familiarity,
and my struggle of bipolarity,
and I mean that with sincerity.
This is myself with regularity,
doing nothing arbitrarily,
and it fills my mind with disparity.
I need your thoughts for clarity,
I love it when you're there with me
even if only momentarily.
I am better with you apparently,
and I love you oh so terribly.
That is one of our similarities.
Our love is like a pair of seas,
so different in our complexities.
No other bodies next to me,
and I didn't do that accidentally.
I moved the earth successfully
to be with you and fulfill our destinies.
And something like Athens and Pericles,
we've rebuilt our city and our legacies.
Conquered all our enemies,
even eachother's warring tendencies.
