Destined To Do This Alone, Or Will You Help Me

Decaying silence plagues my thoughts
As I lay by your side unaffected by your touch
Dreaming of a day when I’ll remember what love was
Remember what its like to have my heart flutter when you’re near
This desolation between us is never ending
A constant flow of what could or won’t be
A constant struggle to decipher what’s to come
Yet never knowing if it’s the right move to make
So standing in the room, one in each corner
I reach for you but you push me away
Rejected I stand alone in your eyes
I’ll never live up to her standards
So could you give me the fair chance I deserve
For once could you just forget about her
And open your eyes to what’s in front of you
And see just all the things you put me threw
Time and time again I allow you to abuse me
time and time again I feel like you use me
Like you’re here by my side out of pity sake
And if this is the case then let someone else take the lead
Because I’m tired of wasting my emotions on nothing
On a shell so oblivious to what it holds it’s scary
And to hear how much I’m wanted and yet you can’t see
How many people would give just to hold me
But my thoughts lock on you and I’m loyal till the end
I suck up your bullshit and then just pretend
That everything is ok, when my hearts screaming
I don’t understand how to get you to see me
Do you see what I offer and what’s in your hands
Do you really like to crush me and break apart my soul
Push me to the side until you think its time to hold
Me close to you and you whisper those lies
Well for once could you tell me the truth from the lies
Could you open up and let me know how you feel
So I’m not constantly flying at something I can’t see
So I break my self more and the bruises are hurting
My wings are growing thinner and my strive for love is dieing
I cant be the only one to battle, you need to lend a helping hand
Other wise we’ll fall apart and I can barley stand
