Despondent Heart Poem by Diwakar Bhatt

Despondent Heart

When I searched my heart to the deep core,
Agony was due to the unrequited love sore.

Life would be so loveless, never could I contemplate,
World seems so unfriendly a place in totality desolate.

No balm, no herb, and no remedy I could find,
Only the potion of your love is the best of its kind.

Give me a draught of this heavenly brew to drink,
Rescue me from never treaded road to falling brink.

Let the compassionate hand touch me to resurrect,
In the name of love nowhere less than a godly act.

Give no second thoughts but make haste to come,
Else my tearful sighs will haunt for many lives to come.

Even if you can't come but think of me with love true,
Your heart will send waves of life to seep through.

My supplications are the wishes of an ardent lover,
Don't neglect me in the abominable world to suffer.
