I sit by the window, my eyes
Focused on the darkening sky
Thunder pealing from the clouds,
Wind roaring and growling

" " " " " " There is light at the end of the tunnel" " '" " '- and at last, yes this day ends with the dark night and the night ends with the brightest dawn hope is there in the young imaginative mind but it becomes despair in young lazy blind it's true to us all- still the SUN is the true eternal source of light for this universe
Oh mind, unclasp from the tentacles of gloom Rave not like a fright stricken maniac Wince not, cry not, but soar high. Catch at hope winging away Hazardous can be the journey, still march on ‘There is light at the end of the tunnel'.- - A great poem with hope and light!
Great piece. There is always a hope ahead. After darkness light is sure to come. Just have patience. Nicely crafted to make interesting reading.
Oh mind, unclasp from the tentacles of gloom Rave not like a fright stricken maniac Wince not, cry not, but soar high. Catch at hope winging away Hazardous can be the journey, still march on ‘There is light at the end of the tunnel'. All the pain fears and insecurities vanished after reading this last stanza. Beautifully written poem.10++
A wonderful, sombre imagery Drawn with a fascinating vocabulary! Despite the despair looming large, Hope, at the end, takes the charge! The poem gets 10/10 from me!
This has been a testing time for all the people in the world, by being perched in our homes, we have nothing but our thoughts to content, and the reality of our own mortality shows us how tenuous things are. This poem speaks for so many people in these troubling times, yet the poem ends on a message of hope, no matter the darkness there is a light.
Such a glorious piece.....thanks for sharing.....anjandev roy.
Dear Valsa hello, it is very deep and precise masterpiece of work, shedding light on the hard human time, with right guidance, it is true we can't control our entire destiny, but at least we can choose the right path, thank you for using this strong poetic language 10+ and onto my fav list
Hazardous can be the journey, still march on ‘There is light at the end of the tunnel'. Great confidence. So shall it be to a patient optimist. Let us hope LOKA SAMASTHA SUKHINO BHAVANTHU
The thunder peeling darkening sky has whispered about natural secret and mystery behind rain of truth. We hear the roaring sound as well as we feel the beauty behind. Calm reflection is found in the core of thundered cloud. Hazardous can be the journey with cry and agony but journey still can bear the hope of joy. An amazing poem is naturally and brilliantly penned.
Bewildered by our own helplessness, Nursing our agony, we stay in quarantine. Our freedom enclosed within four walls Knowing not what happens next door......much impressive lines having a vast Outlook. Really life sometimes remains in hope and sometimes in despair. A brilliant poem is amazingly shared.10

Last few lines are really inspiring though you selected hopelessness and I see a very bright light at the end of the tunnel. You described the quarantine situation and the feelings nicely since we all are sailing in the same boat I can relate to with your poem. Hope all is fine at your end. Take great care and Stay Safe Madam....10++
Thoughts spinning in the head... perilous edge! life's just... the brevity of a firefly.... helplessness but...unclasp from the tentacles of gloom ‘There is light at the end of the tunnel'.... //.... This is extraordinary.... A portrait of cataclysm which feels too real to be ignored but then the hope takes over the charge of life and to maneuvering it to safety- a lasting one at that. Thanks, Valsa Ma'am.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. Beautiful hopeful poem thank-you.
Magnificent, Valsa. This reminds me that perhaps there is no hope without horror. When all is well we seem to feel that all is under our control The reality is, those may be the times the world opts to merely ignore us. A brilliant verse. Perfect 10.
