Desiderata

A Longing for Wishing to Attain
Go, undisturbed, tranquil, look remember peace in silence,
Sometimes surrender, thoughts to stay on good terms,
Speak quietly, truthful honest, with reliance,
Even dull and ignorant, people have their stories, listen learn.
Always there will be greater, and lesser persons, than you,
Enjoy your achievements, your plans, things you do,
Avoid loud aggressive people, they are vexations to your spirit inside,
Don't compare with others, you may hurt yourself, life only one try.
Stay interested in yourself, hobbies, work, whatever you do,
However humble; it is a real possession in changing fortunes of time,
Be cautious in all affairs, many out just to play tricks on you,
Many people strive for high ideals, life full of heroism, keep in mind.
Do not feign affection, neither be cynical about love, during your days,
With aridity and disenchantment, like perennial grass, true loves stay's,
One must move on, childhood does not stay, prepare for misfortune, many ways.
As a child of the universe, you are as important as the stars,
the universe unfolding, as it should, today.
Be at peace, with God, what ever you conceive Him to be, in your mind,
Life with the drudgery, shams, broken dreams, our only chance, it's a beautiful time.
