Depression Poem by Nancy Trembley

Depression

Alas laughter
A release of the soul.
A burst of insanity.
Does anyone know?
To be or not to be?
Is this really the question?
Or is it too crazy for anyone to mention?
To come or to go or just stay I wonder.
Day in and out to always feel under.
This is the truth.
I swear I don't lie.
I haven't the guts to just say goodbye.
I love so many and they love me too.
But I can't stand to be here so what do I do?
I hold it inside.
And hope that someday
Oh God, I'll be able…
To say I'm ok.
