A good description of depression especiually the line Pessimistic Ideation ruling The mind is powerful and can sometimes make a person spiral down into the darkness!

At the essence, within the sadness they look out of darkened windows believing all that they see to be as dark as the mind behind the eyes that survey the world outside.

Very accurate indeed, Howard. Your poem clearly captures just how overwhelming depression can be - like a sea that seems impossible to swim one's way out of. Well done! ~

Depression starts as little drops. It slowly gains force and rushes and runs down to make a deluge when we feel so impotent and we swim and drown in its fierce currents. It also scorches the mind bare when pessimism takes its sway in the empty heart! A powerful poem on depression which has its strangulating hold on many a man in the modern society! A sure 10

Depression in one poem entertwined all things and occurrences in life, at its sublimest, completely and perfectly worded, you are such a amazing poet, Howard! Thank you so much for sharing this most deserving poem from your heartwarming inside and tender heart. GBU in Abundance. A 10 and much much more for the...voting? I really don´t get that nor see the evidence, but this is a sociological gesture, but I am not one of the massa, hihi

Very well defined. Depression is indeed a terrible thing. Living too much in the past is not good. The way to beat depression is to just live in the moment. A great choice of words. Amazing imagery. Very beautifully encompassed thoughts. How u have used different figures of speech is worth praising. Love the alliteration....suffocating sea swimming. Kudos.

Paranoid thoughts of depression and despondency so poetically reflected in these few lines! Excellent. The last stanza is simply superb!
