Depression Poem by Toni Atchison

Depression

Once again I ride the downward spiral.
Having climbed the mountain,
I somehow missed the peak
and slid all the way down to the other side.
Oh, to walk the expanse of level plain!
But all I find are ever-deepening valleys.
Truthfully, I wax melodramatic
at each tiny stone in my path-
fearful of the boulder
around the next bend.

Tony - Very nice poem, I like what it conveys.
