Not only is this a rousing limerick, its an insightful metaphor of our modern dilemma, democracy has become an hapless victim condemned to be overthrowing by showboating hucksters. As you neatly declare we are all cheated from this system, one that has corrupted by the mechanisms of rampant capitalism and demagoguery. Our choices in grooms become less savoury. A Big 10!
Thank you indeed, Kevin Patrick, for your well-articulated feedback. I feel systems perse are fine, the question is, how they are handled. Even communism makes some good points. Capitalism too is abused. And so is democracy.
