Deliverance Poem by Christopher Cariad

Deliverance

*"The waves of death had surrounded me,
the torrents of destruction had overwhelmed me.
The ropes of the grave had surrounded me
the clutches of death had confronted me."

We live in this world
overwhelmed by violence.
Persecution comes to those
who speak in a manner that's
not popular or necessarily sane.
We have list all meaning of justice,
being ruled by oppressors.

That very free will that was granted
to us by our GOD,
taken away by our brothers.
You MUST be THIS way.
You MUST act THIS way.

Like David,
At a loss for hope...

GOD summoned the world toward his favor.
He became David's rock.
upon which he stood and watched
the morning sun rise.

We are David,
In the middle of an ocean,
Gasping for our last breaths.

Will we sing the praises of our father,
While the enemy comes against us?

Will we allow GOD to be our shield?

GOD is more than willing to open up
the heavens and pull you out of this flood,
To set you on a solid rock,
To allow you to see
Our sun rise.
