Good vs Evil...like water vs fire, and water always win...love will always defeat hate...let we be soldier of love! _Soul
A very sharp social criticism.I love this defeat of worldly Satan.
a bright poem love the imagery of the slayne of the devil, in the fight the devil never wins unless we let him
Great poem. A departure from your usually admirable work. Just shows your true talent. I love the Tolkien inferrence
A great yarn with good triumphing with some fine lines. Was he wearing a suite and was he one of the 1% that control the 90% of wealth and power over commerce, food, war, governments and poverty, if so we can a certainly sleep well. Well done.
His face melted like Dali’s Stopwatch. Nicely said. A severe punishment indeed. Thank you.
A unique piece Val.Loved the reference of Salvadore Dali's painting (of the melted watch) ..Fabulous simile! You are genius!
Be great to pick up a paper and see the title: Val Doren has slain the Devil! Excellent poem though and like the Dali stopwatch line. But sadly as I tried to convey in my Daniel poem wickedness is everywhere.
A really rivetting piece.... I felt quite excited the more I read..
Oh, Val, what took you so long? What an idea! If only it were possible. Great poem!
Like it, to slay the devil, the way the world is at the minute you could have more to get rid of. A great poem.
Ah, I shall now rest at ease, and be able to soar through my dreams without fear. Thank you.
Kudos for the valour displayed, Val! So you have slain the devil and we can all sleep in peace! ! ! Hope he won't resurrect again! Great allegorical representation!
Excellent portrayal of the theme of triumph of Good over Evil. How very different is the tenor of this poem from your earlier poem Through all My Five and Time spun Years where you wrote I have watched rich man take his fill The poor man falter in his wake.... .................................................. But in the darker hours when spent That's when I have cried, O how I've cried, ' Both the poems are reflective of your sensitivity and agony.
