The world is full of ridiculously dangerous leaders, doing ridiculously dangerous things. And most just sit back and ignore. A voice may be small and singular but at least it can be heard and perhaps spark more voices until voices turn to action
Yeats put it memorably back in 1920: THE BEST LACK ALL CONVICTION, WHILE THE WORST / ARE FULL OF PASSIONATE INTENSITY. Those of us who embody the better angels have to assert a passionate intensity to make what's right prevail. Yours is the necessary poem which does this. Its resonance fans out into the world and lowers the temperature of the madness. Instead of fanning flames and mire heat, it cools things and minds with their uncontrolled hot-tempered thoughts.
