Poisonous campaign lost Bluff and bluster rejected Deshbhakti & pluralism won You are absolutely right! The Delhi Election results are an eye opener to every politician. Congress and BJP met with a political debacle and once again it is proved that good leadership and fair governance alone can win the confidence of the electorate,

An enlightening and fascinating cameo of India's politics. It seems to be dominated by parties, as in my country. I am surprised that the longstanding Congress Party is not doing so well. I would like to hear one of the PM's monthly monologues, which must win many votes for BJP.

Up to 1980's Congress, by and large, was a dominant party which ruled the centre and the states on its own. Thereafter, it saw a decline in its popularity. Several leaders left and formed their own parties. Its traditional voters started deserting it. However, they managed to have a majority with like minded parties till 2014. Facing corruption charges, Congress was replaced by BJP at the centre.

I agree Rajnish saa'b, though I hold no brief for AAP, the negativity of BJP, the roadblocks created by it in AAp's way thru Lt Governor, and the like have not worked. You are also right about that so-called yogi. But do our politicians ever learn anything? Country is never a common measuring rod for any of the lot. Thanks for the poem

Thanks for your thoughtful review and feedback, Sir. These days, politics is more like a vilification campaign than driven by the idea of a welfare state. Hindu-Muslim rhetoric has gobbled up the agenda of 'vikas'. Then, the rising influence of money power has further vitiated the atmosphere.
