Defects
(Co-written with Gajanan Mishra, our popular and prolific PH poet)
Defective, the same synonym as human
No defect errors constitute without will
But if one renounced desire and hope, defect become deep-rooted ill
Fly high, my spirit, free of attachments to become less inhuman
I know well this truth with my heart which defects postpone
Imperfect soul, engrave deeply in your depth
His image, the built-in goodness
Using divine mirror we both constantly confess
And slowly be freed from all bondage of defective nature
Even though our beast-angel cohabitat still yields both good and evil
Even with all vices and defects, I still prefer to be human
For without it, there is no loving virtues
But my Dearest, if I am in union with you,
As I am now surrendering
At your feet is laid bare all my own being
Everything you had created, embraced, loved because of the defective Me.
