Deep Water Poem by Jonathan H. Scott

Deep Water

Of days remembered long from now
The weight of thoughts will rise—
And what was questioned yesterday,
No one would dare surmise.

Not all can venture in the depths
This truth has no disguise.
Deep water keeps the weak at bay,
Yet, this is no surprise.

When comes the moment of your truth,
It's hard to realize
You're free to live in your own way—
All else is but true lies.

The Universe will judge your choice—
This can't be otherwise.
Firm consequences come what may—
There is no compromise.

But, when courageous as you live,
You see what life belies—
Deep water in your soul will stay,
There, too, the boundless skies!
