same for the relationships, it is time, just like spoilt food
This poem is so humourous and realistic. I love it. Kudos Jack
You are loved and liked, dear Jack! A classic entertaining poem with deeper meaning than the words we can read. Mothers never want to throw away food, but she does not realize that that is not good anymore to eat. Excwellent advice from a son through this precious and important poem.CONGRATULATIONS, dear Jack with winning again The Modern Poem Of The Day. God Bless you.5 Stars. Thank you so much for sharing.
I wrote the poem 'Feast Found Deep In A Frig Special Place' inspired by the poem 'Deep In Our Refrigerator' by the poet Jack Prelutsky and dedicated to the poet Jack Prelutsky.
'She dumps it in the garbage can, though not without regret, then fills the space with other food that's not so ancient yet' - most mothers are, perhaps, like this! Loved your pem. Congratulations on its selection as the 'Modern Poem of the Day'!
When finally it all becomes a nasty mass of slime, my mother takes it out, and says, 'Apparently, it's time.'......beautifully crafted the poem is on the home chores where the mother takes care the health of child and stays in concern about the foods for the family though some of foods are in deep refrigerator yet there is possibility to be rotten!
A unique food waste orientated poem. Brilliantly witty, an account of a homicidal compulsion, to save food piled into a refrigerator, reading like a scientific decomposing food experiment; gone wrong, delicious, time for a snack I think.
You have turned a simple everyday necessity into joyful words. I too am a food hoarder for a rainy day.
Frozen food! ! ! Preserved for a time! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
This swims between the humorous and the ludicrous. No a serious piece, and if it was not for the laugh it can give, this would be a bad poem. But as a writing not to take too serious it may work for some reader in the sense that it is funny.
Tells us about human nature. Predictable in such matters. Thanks.
Good poem. And in the meantime down two houses is Joe Sop he has not had a refrigerated meal in days. Why not give him before it spoils
Congratulations for being chosen as The Modern Poem Of The Day. Very entertaining and amusing we better not associate with the Covid period Truly very entertaining and I have enjoyed very much. Marvelous poem.
Wise and nice. Human tendency is such that we do not want to part with even the most perishable and unwanted things till it begins to stink. We are supposed to remove the foul smelling things from our refrigerator of life
She dumps it in the garbage can, though not without regret, then fills the space with other food that's not so ancient yet // after two months again this poem before us as POD; many many congrats to the great poet for his beautiful poem sharing
