December "Lamba" Poem by Raimi Babatunde

December "Lamba"

Rating: 3.0

Ferocious as a Cheetah
With a bite like the Hyennas
They can smell your shekels from afar
They really bite deep like a Lion
And swallow like an African python

They choose their preys carefully
Once you hear "What do you do? " as their syntax
Run for your life, heartbreak looms
Their stalking techniques is unmatched
Latching unto you like a Leech

They come from the other side
And sing you the popular cliche
"I am looking for a God-fearing wife"
I'll take her to "Ame-Lika & Ulope"
Run! They just want a peep into your crest
This is a "lamba" as old as time

In your quest, be guided
Once entwined in the tango
The deed cannot be undone
Because "Once de bee, ever dey bee"
If you were a victim of September Rush
Don't be a victim of December "Lamba"
"Nde Oke Japan, Emeka China..."
Be advised.
