Staring from the window, lives pass me by
a woman cries hysterically, her marriage a lie.
a man walks swiftly, a wallet in his hand
a girl alone on the corner, wearing nothing but her broken dignity and torn down heart
is this the world you want to see?
will you raise children, so they could become a glimpse passing me?
a beggar on his knees, asking for some money
his head wants food, his heart wants ‘E’ to silence forever his hunger
a life of common nothing
where death becomes a game
a life of hopeless dreaming, being silenced could be an aid.
a smile fills with tears
from the eyes of a 3 year old girl
her dad has just been shot and she was holding on to him.
they take lives, like a tooth fairy takes teeth
teach us rhymes to numb the cold of this
a world where fiction meets reality
where small glimpses pass by each day
a world of torn down dreams, being thrown away
our bodies become immune to pain
our souls become cold and numb
in a world where truth tells lie a tale
where hate and love go hand in hand, nothing remains the same
Is nothing sacred anymore?
has dying really become a game?
is truth now lie, and lie now truth, is emotion still the same?
in a world where a gun becomes a playground toy
and playing turns red with blood
in a world where lives pass by everyday
just look out of your window, its always the same
anger, smiles, tears and dying the four base rules of living, of surviving
this world we speak of with anger and fear
where nothing is sacred and dreams are feared
this world is our world, the one your in now
are you going to be a glimpse, a flash by my window?
or are you going to be sitting next to me
watching as our hearts fade, forever in a world
made of smiles and tears
