Death Ultimately Always Has The Last Say Poem by Terence George Craddock

Death Ultimately Always Has The Last Say

Rating: 5.0

I fear death
may be indifferent
to our opinions
belief systems;

death has at least
one last say regarding
the termination of life
death is always waiting;

there upon termination date
always at the right place
at precisely the right;

time but death does not always
take claimed soul death offers second chances
but death ultimately always has the last say;

It certainly is the hubris of some to believe, even for mere seconds, that in escaping death in the moment they have won invincibility. A great poem, Terry.

Death certainly doesn't seem to be discriminate in choosing it's victims. I don't think I will be arguing with death in another 20 years or so with my arthritis...lol
