There was an accident; the air locked, he was hung in the river like a heart. They retrieved the swamped body, sentiments, sadness......... a fine poem. tony

After the long trip I was tired of waves. my hands glistened with details. My foot hit rock. The dreamed sails collapsed, ragged. I planted him in this country like a flag..............so saddest, so saddest, most tragically rendered. Most sensitive poetry I ever read on PH. You are an awesome poetess, dear Margaret. I like to read your poems, do you still write poems?

This poem is so saddening! Deeply saddened by the tragic events described in the poem. The lines that I liked most, of the poem: 'my hands glistened with details'... and 'I planted him in this country like a flag.... so wonderful!

What can be more tragic incident in life than the death of a young son by drowning. Each word of this poem reflects the sadness of heart.
