very well written. The images captured are stunning. My favorite lines are: 'Evening mutely entered rat-hole Silent moon passed by this way'
True, so true and sad. I got tear forming as I write this. Few streets from here, where I live - Adura, lagos - Nigeria, close to a major TV station; AIT. There's been a woman dead along a major road the past five days. Everyone knew, Everyone walked passed, I passed. On the day Michael died, AIT aired it for hours, days and weeks. The dead woman is still there and then I read 'Death of a Streetboy...sorry, got to stop now, my vision's blurring...
Its encouraging to find some voice for the street people. Unfortunately, in our capitalist world, you don't have to be an urchin to die unsung.
Are you on vacation, little troubled n depressed or just fed up from unworthy readers? I undertsand your silence, remember, this too shall pass, whatever it is. You'll bounce back! Regards
so touching...with truth... lines that flows with depth 10+++ lovelots, maia
Wonderful piece.10! People die many ways... I´m a teacher, I see teens dying in the streets, at home, at schools, everywhere... I thank God I can reach some of them... some are lost forever... Would you please, take a look at my poem ' Stolen Identity'? It tells of a lost child... Keep in touch!
life is replete with undung great men and true heroes....what to talk of a mundane 'urchin'... in the huge megalopoces of this world from mumbai to karachi from tokyo to rio...life just crawls on the footsteps and no body gives a damn superb lines great content very well written cheers

good tribute for MJ he will live in hearts of people for centuries
death loves all equally...the rest is mere exhibitionism...simple and philosophical!
Oh how we love our stars and look past all the souls in the dark. Love the ending very timely.
Sadness is seeing someone's child fading from a life with no hope....death all that is left him - not a smile from a passerby - no-one to take his hand - utter loneliness into death - a human who made no impact yet ignored
a universal tragedy you discussed in this poem.only the rich or popular are only the part of news
as my heart bleeds...my soul shout for justice...pacify by my feeling the moment of prayer....such a poem of chaotic atmosphere and vengeance....i pray that this poem would be a part of every reflection to all sectors... thank you my friend for sharing and God bless....a 10 +++++
Tragic Truth expressed so exquisitely With the use of meataphor and comparison But, the boy got your symathy and a tribute From the wise and sage - Ashraful Musaddeq How beautifully and soulfully he writes He ponders much and makes us glad For souls like him who tarry in our midst! Angel
