Death Of A Friend Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Death Of A Friend

Rating: 5.0

Dolphin swimming to shore
Swimmer on his slick back
Attack now on the run
Shark smelling the fresh blood

Such gentle dolphin fleeing
From killer shark attacking
Swimmer fearing for his life
Dolphin sensing great fear

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Two weeks after writing this poem, I had heard about the death of a friend. Because of his contagious dolphin-like laugh, I had nicknamed him Dolpin Man. These poems are like prophetic dreams. Very baffling. And very scary!

I have the same kind of dreams. Sometimes, I see them after Bravo!

LeeAnn, we seem to have a few things in common.
