To some who have deep faith in God, death welcomes. For they see what is beyond.. ...eternal life with the Father. However, even if we have this state of mind, it is still hurts to see someone we love departs in this world. We are still caught unaware of the effects of death in our life. An amazing and great.poem.

I like this epigram. Powerful and so beautifully written Life and death and vice versa are always rich areas of our thoughts. They are always entertwined. Yet, death wraps us with fear, trauma, sorrows and loneliness. However, if we go deeper sometimes life to some others is death. For they cease to see the beautiful things life has to offer.

O Death, thou art not bad, But thou maketh others sad, We forget, thou art end of all strife, But that thou art the end of life. You see, human beings are prone to the negative.

That's true. Maybe death is really misunderstood...It's the end of this life though!

I agree with you. I'm also kind to my death. I once wrote to her that she did not have to rush because I will not escape anywhere.

Death is the finish line of man's completed race. Treasure cannot stop the cessation of breath. Though the wages of sin is death, if we remain worthy in the sight of God till the end, then we are sure of a happy ending. Great write, Kostas......10+++++++++++

Your poem made me pause for a long time, made me really think how I view death … quite deeply. Death has been in our shadows since birth, we did not acknowledge it when we were young, we fear it when we grow old, then we embrace it as we have no choice when we die. It is scary as any unknown, it requires faith to face it unafraid. But even then, who would like to die when life can be so beautiful?

Departing from the world of the living is always hard...
