Death cannot break true love,
for it is from our God above,
True love will carry on,
unafraid of darkness's yawn,
ignoring all pains,
remembering the final gain,
standing firm until the end,
for the one that you love as friend,
upholding the frail,
helping siblings prevail,
true love stands faithful,
when all others are doubtful,
taking hurtful blows,
bearing others' woes,
bearing a crown of thorns,
taking stinging scorn,
true love will gladly die for others,
to rescue from darkness's smother—
and true will love,
even after death,
for true love did love,
until the final breath.
