Death, enemy of humanity,
The messager who spare no life,
Whether Rich or poor, free or a bondservant,
You cause the world to mourn.
Death, you may come for me one day,
But for now, let me linger and stay,
In this world, with all its beauty and grace,
For death can wait, in its cold embrace.
I have dreams to chase, places to see,
Love to give and moments to be.
Death, you may knock on my door one day,
But I'll keep living, now and forever more,
The sun still rises, the birds still sing,
The flowers bloom, the bells still ring.
Life goes on, in all its grandeur,
Death can wait, until derams reap and ripe,
I'll dance in the rain, and bask in the sun,
Laugh with my loved ones, and have some fun.
For death can wait, it's not yet my time,
To leave this world, that is still sublime,
Until I read the chronicle of life
And solved to an end the mortality of mankind.
So Death, I ask you to kindly wait,
I have seen my stars dancing home,
In a ray of victory,
For there's still so much on my plate.
I'll face you one day,
But until then,
I'll keep living,
For death can wait.
