Death By Love Poem by Derrick Andrews

Death By Love

This pain is burning,
My world is imploding,
My luck is turning,
While you're still reloading,
Yet another clip,
Aimed straight at my heart,
In my blood I slip,
Your bullets tear me apart,
I wallow in despair,
While you never cease fire,
I feel you right there,
More blood, you require,

Into the depths of my soul,
You shove a sharp dagger,
Tearing yet a new hole,
While you become a new bragger,
You feel no pain,
By tormenting me so,
My emotions in vain,
For this pain will not go,

You marvel at the pain, you can create with your blade,
I shudder at the thought of you near me again,
You dig straight into my heart, harsh words are your spade,
To you, you said, I'm not even a friend,

But it seems now,
Though you've hurt me,
Somehow,
You won't desert me,

It's as if you enjoy it,
Watching me die,
Into my face, you bit,
To taste the tears I cry,

But no longer I'll weap,
No longer I'll cry,
No longer will you reap,
More grief from my eye,

I'm already dead, it seems,
But you don't even care,
You love how my blood gleams,
You can't help but stare,

What on earth have I done?
To be treated this way?
From this torture I'll run,
'Till I'm far, far away...
