The insects rejoiced, slowly crawling, causing yet no sound.
Pitch darkness prevailed then, all across the land!

As I read through the poem, I felt some kind of antogonist God of death was walking like as in Indian Puranas how the character Yaman/Kaalan will come to take the soul away. This poem is intense, to an extent threatening and has a wonderful ending twist! I read twice and the imagery you have created is pretty hard to go!

Death however it is described lurks around every corner and hides in every crevice. It has as a story all of its own. Sometimes it is called the Grim Reaper. The conscience is what reminds us of what is good and bad. When it dies woe to all mankind! A thought provoking write.

Death of conscience is but the death of the humanism in a human. It either dies off when the soul leaves the body or when the virtues are given up by the soul. Sir this is indeed a great work, well intrigued framing, accommodating well patterned rhyme, Great!

Death is not extinguishing the light, it is putting out the lamp because dawn has come. Muscical without sound.
