I'm petrified to flack out
Death has visited many of my kind
My mates are dying daily
I appealed to God for mercy
Our generation is the future.
We are the curse-breakers
Our wellsprings need their offspring
years ago we eyed adults dying
Today they are watching us dying
This kind of pain doesn't have a remedy
The old woman said I saw her,
In her coffin for the last time.
She was supposed to bury me.
I have buried my granddaughter
I started by burying her mother
Then she was all I was left with
She reminded me of my daughter'
What has this world turned into?
We bury our children
Death don't you have shame?
Death don't you get tired?
Don't you see the walls of my house are falling?
I'm old, where am I going to work?
After those years my grandchild suffered in university.
You watched her and said you won't live to eat your fruits
You said poverty won't let go of your family
I have no more tears
I have cried enough
Let me bury my granddaughter in peace
And leave everything to God
